A travel agency sells something nobody can inspect before buying. That is the whole difficulty, and it is also the opening: short-form video is the only cheap way to show a customer what they are actually purchasing before they hand over a deposit.
Most agency reels are destination footage with music over it, which could belong to any agency anywhere. The ones that bring enquiries do something narrower — they answer the specific worry standing between a Gujarati family and a booking.
What your customer is actually worried about
Not the destination. They have already decided they would like to see Kashmir or Bali. What stops them booking is a shorter and much more practical list.
| The worry | The video that answers it |
|---|---|
| Will there be Gujarati food? | The actual meals on your last group tour |
| Is it safe for my parents? | Walking distances, lifts, seating, pace |
| What is not included? | A plain, honest list of exclusions |
| Is the hotel like the photos? | An unedited walk through the room |
| What if something goes wrong? | Your on-ground contact, named |
| Am I overpaying? | What the same trip costs booked separately |
Twelve formats that bring enquiries
| Idea | What to show | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| The real room | Unedited hotel room walkthrough | Removes the biggest single doubt |
| What they ate | Meals on your last group departure | The number one Gujarati family question |
| Cost breakdown | Where the money actually goes | Trust, and it justifies your margin |
| Group departure recap | Thirty seconds from a real trip | Proof it happened, with real people |
| Packing for this trip | Specific to the destination and season | Saveable, and shared within families |
| Visa in plain Gujarati | Documents, timeline, cost | High-anxiety topic, high search volume |
| Senior-friendly check | Steps, walking, altitude, pace | Decides multi-generation bookings |
| Best month to go | Weather and price by season | Genuinely useful, ranks well |
| What is not included | The honest exclusions list | Counter-intuitive, and it builds trust |
| Client on return | A short piece to camera at home | Strongest social proof you can get |
| Behind the booking | You on the phone, arranging it | Shows there is a person, not a portal |
| Common mistake | What travellers get wrong here | Useful even to someone booking elsewhere |
Say the exclusions out loud
Speak Gujarati, and be specific about who it is for
Travel content in English competes with every agency in India. The same content in Gujarati, aimed at families from your city, competes with almost nobody — and reaches exactly the people who can walk into your office.
Name the audience in the video. A reel that opens with a direct address to families travelling with elderly parents self-selects its viewer immediately, and the people it excludes were never going to book anyway.

A week that fits around booking season
- Monday — a destination answer. Best month, what to pack, one practical question.
- Wednesday — proof. Real footage from a real departure, hotel rooms, meals.
- Friday — this season. What is filling up, what closes soon, seasonal pricing.
- Saturday — people. A returning client, or you in the office arranging something.
Shooting notes for the road
- Film on group departures, not on scouting trips. Real customers in the frame is the whole value, with their permission.
- Shoot vertical from the start. A horizontal holiday clip cropped later loses the landscape you went there for.
- Capture the mundane: the breakfast counter, the coach, the hotel corridor. This is what customers want and what nobody posts.
- Ask returning clients for twenty seconds to camera at home, a week later, when the enthusiasm is genuine and considered.
- Keep a folder per destination. In six months you will have a library and no shooting left to do.
The short version
- Nobody books because of drone footage. They book because a specific worry was answered.
- Food, hotel rooms, walking distances and exclusions beat scenery every time.
- Narrate in Gujarati and name the audience in the first line.
- Post what is not included. It is the most trusted video you can make.
- Film on real departures; the mundane footage is the valuable footage.
- One trip, filmed properly, is a month of posts.
